4th march (sbl second week)

Today was a bit different to what I expected, I had a reliever today mrs __. My first impressions was that she was really strict, but it is definitely what the kids needed. She is a really good teacher and she taught me lots throughout the whole day. My highlights today was I think I made a really good impression with her and she was eager to teach me more, she promised  the next time she sees me she  will give me a lot more resources that she used back in the day and still uses today. A real inspiration she was, merci beaucoup.

I was really excited and honoured to attend a syndicate meeting as it gave me an insight into the behind the scenes work and  how they can improve the swimming sports for next year made me realise that teaching is not just an 8-3 job and go home.

Challanges I had today I was left alone with the whole class for only 1 min but still I had to keep the class busy and attentive. I guess this was good practice looking back. When we were doing a game before school finished I was taking observation notes and a girl ran off out of frustration because her peers were yelling at her because she couldn't catch the ball, so I went over and told her to stop caring about what others think and just have fun, and she got on with it. All in all it was a great day.

At the syndicate meeting I was given a sheet talking about "genius hour" I will read more about it tonight.
